Female, DSH Grey and White, 12/10/2023

Hello there, my name is Delanie. I’m just over a year old, and I’ve spent every single one of those months here at APS with my two siblings. This shelter has been the only home I’ve ever known, and while it’s safe and kind here, I’m quietly hoping that one day I’ll get to discover what life is like with a family of my own.

I’m a soft grey and white girl with long white whiskers that twitch whenever I’m curious or uncertain (which, if I’m being honest, is pretty often). I am on the shy side—new people and new things make me a little nervous. But if you’re gentle and patient with me, I do enjoy the occasional pat, and I’m learning that human hands can be quite nice.

One of my best qualities is how well I get along with other cats. Since I’ve always had my siblings by my side, being around other felines feels natural and comforting. If you already have a cat at home, I think I’d find that reassuring. And if you’re looking for a pair, I might be happiest if I could go to a new home with my brother—it’s easier to be brave when you’ve got someone familiar beside you.

I know I’m not the type to run up and jump into your lap right away. But if you’re the kind of person who understands that trust takes time, I think we could make something really special together. I may be timid, but I’m full of hope that someone out there will see me for who I am and give me the chance I’ve been waiting for. Could that someone be you?
