Have you ever thought about fostering a homeless pet? Can you help? The animals below are currently needing foster care. They are in need of some extra TLC and would love to spend some time in a loving home environment. If you would like to help care for one of these animals please contact us on info@apswa@asn.au Choosing to foster an animal in need is both a rewarding and special experience. It is a big commitment, but the benefits of foster caring for both people and animals are unquestionable. Placing animals into foster care helps give them a great chance of adoption as well as assisting us during peak periods such as kitten season. Some of the animals that come our door are not quite ready to go to a forever home and need the short term love and care of a foster person or family. Some of these reasons include
Age; if the animal is too young or old to be in a shelter environment. These animals may have special need that are better delivered in a home like environment
Health; they may need some extra TLC in recovering from a surgery, specialised post veterinary care, putting on or losing weight, or in the instance of kittens, weaned from their mother
Temperament; animals may need socialisation or training before they are ready for adoption. This can manifest itself in many ways including timidness, over or under confidence; or behavioural traits that need to be addressed
